Our beloved
President George W. Bush decided to send a strong message
to the Pakistani president General Pervez Musharraf. In the
message: You better do something for us or expect nothing
from us. In other words, he is black mailing him. Duh! Why
is it that they (our watchdogs--the Bush administration) try
to fool us by using these sophisticated words? It just doesn’t
make sense. Don’t they know we have smart people in
the world too?
Either way, senior administration officials claim that the
newly elected Democratic Congress could cut aid to El Generals
country unless his forces become far more aggressive in hunting
down operatives with Al Qaeda.
This warning came about after la Casa Blanca assured that
Musharraf flagged his commitments he made to Señor
Bush during a visit to Pakistan in September. Musharraf asserted
then, that a peace deal he struck with tribal leaders in one
of the country’s border areas would not diminish the
hunt for Al Qaeda leaders and the Taliban or their training
camps.
Now, our intelligence officials say that the terrorist are
alive and well. Meaningit's like a factory. They are rebuilding
and growing like the Ford Company make automobiles in Detroit
. The Pakistan border and the state it self tends to be a
niche for terrorist who roam the streets like pesky rats getting
away with murder and eating everything including garbage and
feces.
The New York Times says that Democrats have urged the White
House to put greater pressure on Pakistan because of statements
from American commanders that units based in Pakistan that
are to the Taliban are increasing their attacks into Afghanistan.
In my opinion, the Democrats are not pressuring anyone. In
fact, they might be pressuring Congress to approve an anti-gay
bill. Yeah, they have rights too.
Pakistan is the fifth-largest recipient of American aid. Bush
proposed $785 million in aid to Pakistan . The budget includes
$300 million in military aid to help Pakistan combat Islamic
radicalism in the country.
Okay, Einstein, you think the United States is the only country
facing terrorism and social problems. If this money is going
to help Pakistan ’s military how much do you think they
need to combat their own fight? Just look at how much we spent
on our pretty little wrestling match in Afghanistan and Iraq
. Did you know the Pentagon waste, yeah, "waste",
more then $5 billion a month. So far, the U.S. has decided
to waste a little more then $500 billion. If it goes on any
further, say another 4 more years, the wars could cost about
$1.4 trillion. Hmmm, I think with that money we could have
cleaned up and rebuilt New Orleans . Don’t you think?
Either way, Pakistan has its own problems including their
own tribal leaders who cause chaos in India . Last year, one
of those radical groups implemented a bomb, which exploded
in a subway killing hundreds of people. Although the tension
seems to be hindering, Pakistan and India have that little
rivalry for the little piece of territory called Kashmir .
Both countries have fought three wars over this piece of territory,
which borders of India , Pakistan , and China . Pakistan said
it is willing to give up the land if India is willing to reciprocate
and agree to the region's sovereignty.
Sure, a deal is a deal, but how are you going to pressure
a friend, when he is giving it his it all. Remember, he has
his own problems too.
So what, now we are depending on others to do the job. Bush
is a lame-duck president. Under Wikipedia, it means a politician
who is losing political power. If he were to find Osama bin
Laden, it will be a victory and possibly a victory in 2008
for the Republican Party. Everyone will remember Bush as a
hero if biden Laden is found. Don’t be surprised if
that were to happen. It’s happened before, remember,
before elections Bush tends to bring some surprises to the
table to get voters’ attention.
Remember, the GOP is not in good terms after frauds, child
molestation and other episodes that have tainted the party.
The only thing the party has on its shoulder is its unity
as the Democrats fight like kids in a sandbox. Well, it seems
like the Democrats are lying low, which is a smart move: Using
the media to give their candidates more exposure then the
GOP candidates.
So, here we go Mr. Bush, don’t pressure anyone because,
hey, how long have we been in this war against terror. Oh,
yes, more then three years, when it was only supposed to last
about 90 days. Don’t pressure anyone else. Who you should
really pressure is yourself and your administration to get
things done. You have less then a year to get this baby finished.
Are you up to the challenge Mr. President? Enjoy the vacation
time in Mexico I mean business trip. Viva Tequila!
